FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can't find your answer? Call or WhatsApp us and we'll answer it.

FRP or stainless steel membrane housing - which should I choose?

FRP housings are corrosion-resistant, light and cost-effective for most brackish water RO plants. Stainless steel housings are chosen where the application calls for sanitary construction - pharmaceutical, food and beverage - or where a robust, polished finish is required.

What pressure rating does a membrane housing need?

It must exceed the maximum operating pressure of the RO stage. Brackish water RO housings are commonly rated around 300 psi, while seawater RO needs housings rated around 1000 psi or more.

Do you supply high-pressure pumps as well?

Yes. We supply high-pressure pumps matched to the membrane array, so the housings, pump and membranes are specified together rather than bought separately.

What is the HSN code for an RO membrane housing?

Parts of water filtering or purifying machinery are commonly classified under HSN 8421 99. Confirm the classification and applicable GST rate with your tax advisor; we state the HSN code on our invoice.
